It’s Mo Time!

As the nights draw in and the temperature outside plummets, two members of the Austin Consultants team have decided that it is imperative that they keep their upper lips warm this November, and have opted to raise a bucket load of cash in the process…

Movember is upon us once again, and reminds us of the importance of raising awareness about mens health and improving the lives of men around the world.

The Movember Foundation aims to change this way of thinking by putting a fun twist on this serious issue. Using the moustache as a catalyst, the idea is to bring about change and give men the opportunity and confidence to learn and talk about their health and take action when needed.

Two of our very own Mo Bro’s; Matt Collett and Chris Thoroughgood have donated their upper lip to Movember, and their ‘tash growing progress will be shared for the world to see throughout November! They are collecting donations and sharing their updates via their team page and welcome all donations, big or small, for this fantastic and very important cause.

During November, Chris is also taking part in a ‘Spinathon'; an adaptation of Spinning but instead of cycling at a high intensity for 30 minutes (which is torture enough!), this session will last for a full three hours, in aid of Children in Need! Earlier this year, Chris also cycled 120miles through the Yorkshire Dales and ran the Sheffield Half Marathon for charity.

Please show your support to Austin Consultants Mo Bro’s by making a donation to their team page and most importantly, familiarising yourself with tips on staying healthy. As the Movember Foundation wisely put it – “Knowledge is power, prevention is everything, early detection is key”.

**UPDATE**

Here’s the amazing progress from Matt and Chris during the final week of Movember! Matt even took his ‘Mo’ for its first half marathon!
