Territory Description

The successful candidates will be based in Detroit Metro, and be joining a team that has been very successful selling into the automotive and military industries.  NI has been making a lot of strategic investments in areas that are critical to the vehicle development process: Hardware-In-The-Loop, Test Cells, Engine Control, Combustion Analysis as well as RF Testing for Infotainment and Active Safety Systems.  The sky is the limit when you match these investments with the recovery & expansion of the automotive industry AND the increasing amount of technology being incorporated into our vehicles.

As a Field Sales Engineer, you will be expected to drive substantial revenue growth by discovering, qualifying, advancing, and closing opportunities with consistency and efficiency. You will develop strong customer relationships and emerge as a trusted advisor capable of identifying and championing our customers’ goals, problems, and needs. You will leverage your technical proficiency to help customers in countless application spaces solve engineering grand challenges using NI technologies.
