Re: Charting Data

Assuming Waveform Chart was clear (displaying no data points) and each of the Array to Cluster nodes in the code snippets had been manually set to a "Cluster Size..." of 5 before execution. Which of the following code snippets created the data shown in Waveform Chart?

Can A also be a correct answer?

When I ran answer A it looks the same.

HI boz27606 ,

Letter A gives the same answer since you run it twice, Doesn't It?

Try to clear your Waveform chart and then run your VI again, you are going to notice It will be necessary to run the VI twice to see the Waveforms on your Chart.

See you soon!

HI Tsjabrantes,

Can you please explain why graph A doesnot show output on first run and show graph on second run?

OBK058,

Assuming the waveform chart had just been cleared, the VI Snippet shown on answer A does not show any noticeable change on the chart because the Array to Cluster function only outputs a single value for each of the 5 different plots each time you press the Run button.

In other words, after the first iteration, you are plotting the value for each plot at point `0` on the X axis. But you can`t see it, because it's only a single point. After the second iteration, the waveform chart still remembers the values at point `0`, and updates with the new values at point `1`.  Only now, you can see the lines. Keep pressing the Run button, and you will see the chart update, 1 increment on the X-axis at a time.

The reason only B is the answer here, is that you are creating an Array of 2 Clusters (each cluster containing a point for each of the 5 plots) every time you press the Run Button, so you`re able to see the lines being drawn, even after you clear the waveform chart.

Hope this helps.
