The merge error takes the first error.  If there are no errors, then the first warning.

Thank you Steve,

I took the exam and I failed it. I think your questions are valuable and I will try to answer all of them.

Do you have any other ecommendations for retaiking the CLAD (I will do next 03/18/2013).

Thank you.

The only recommendation I can give is practice, practice, practice....oh and read this blog......and more practice .   You definitely have to do some CLAD specific preparation (things like this blog), doing LabVIEW day-to-day probably isn't enough for most people.

I remember, when I took the CLAD, thinking that I knew LabVIEW really well and that it would be a breeze.  I had done all of the NI example examinations, was comfortable with the style of the questions and felt really confident.  The exam was a different level though.  Most likely due a combination of the exam conditions, a slight uplift in question complexity (courtesy of NI) and questions on 'how to use LabVIEW' rather than the expected 'how to code in LabVIEW'.  I got through OK, but it certainly wasn't the breeze I was expecting.  Hopefully now you have seen the CLAD, you know what to expect and can hone your preparation.
