What is the difference between the following property nodes.

Val Property Nodes.bmp

a)      The Value property sets the value of Boolean to FALSE, whereas the Val(Sgnl) property sets the value of Boolean to FALSE and generates a Value Changed Event.

b)      The Value property sets the value of Boolean to FALSE, whereas the Val(Sgnl) property sets the value of Boolean to FALSE only on the first call to the property node.

c)       The Value property sets the value of Boolean to FALSE, whereas the Val(Sgnl) property sets the value of Boolean to FALSE and sets the Front Panel Control blinking.

d)      The property nodes are functionally the same; the naming convention has been modified from the right-click shortcut menu.

The answer is A

the with signaling properties allow you to trigger event that an event structure will respond to

Prior to this type of property being available, you had to register a user event if you wanted to trigger an event (this was still a separate event so you had to duplicate the code for that event)

Nice one Javed and Rusty.  Rusty do you know when the Val(Sgnl) property was introduced?

No,I do not know when it was introduced

I did not even know about it until recently and have not even used it yet

I suppose I should try to make an effort to read the "What's new" when the new versions come out
