Hello ,,
I am working on digital communication project in which I am required to build and simulate a complete digital communication system without using USRPs.
After that comes the stage in which I get access to USRPs and incorporate them in the system I built.
I am wondering how can I use USRP module blocks in LABview block diagram without having an actual USRP device. I have heard form NI engineer that this is possible but I don not know how.
Is there a document or tutorial that demonstrates that?
You help is very valuable for me.
Thank you,,

Hi,
Can you explain more specifically what you are trying to accomplish? LabVIEW allows you to run an FPGA simulation, however, if you are using a USRP that doesn't have an onboard FPGA, this will not be useful. Even in the case that you are using a USRP RIO, I don't know that it will allow you to directly point to a simulated device.
Though you mentioned you are simulating an entire communication system, is there any specific aspect (modulation, environmental factors, etc…) that you need to account for and potentially modify?
