National Instruments is proud to be a founding sponsor of seattlemedtech.org, a user forum designed to grow the medical device technology industry in the greater Seattle area. We believe that the best way to grow the sucess of this industry is to provide support to the device engineers who are tasked with the actual development of the technologies that support the businesses in the area.

In 2009, we establised SeattleMedTech.org as an online and public user group forum, providing both an online community and a regular, face-to-face network community. We meet quarterly as a group to hear from experts in the industry and to share resources, technology, and network opportunities.

Our mission is to help grow and strengthen the local Medical Device community and to preserve and improve its competitive position as compared with other high technology corridors.

Our vision is to encourage a closer knit technical community of engineers within the Medical Device Industry in the Seattle area. To support each others’ effort in a non-competitive way so as to strengthen the entire community and increase the value of the Pacific Northwest as the preeminent location to create, establish and grow Medical Device companies in the eyes of members, entrepreneurs and investors.
