I work at STUDIO BODs which is a National Instruments Alliance partner and I am an advocate of using NI LabVIEW for all your programming needs.

It was love at first sight. My journey to LabVIEW discovery started during my university studies with LabVIEW 7.0. Graphical programming made sense to me, and I immediately felt empowered by its intuitive nature. Today, I use LabVIEW in my every day work. STUDIO BODs is specialized in LabVIEW toolkits and custom software solutions. I still flirt with LabVIEW for personal projects, for example, when ravens were disturbing my sleep, I programmed a VI that detects their signature sound and emits an eagle sound to scare them away. My best work in LabVIEW is Build, License, and Track (BLT) which is a deployment and tracking management system for LabVIEW.

I have an uncanny way to maintain focus. I think this comes from studying classical music for 12 years. I learned how to disconnect from the outside world and to concentrate solely on my task. In face of any coding challenge, I first put my mind in a sealed bubble, design the entire algorithm, and then finally spring my fingers into action. Nothing else matters. To become faster in LabVIEW, I use Quick Drop. I also disable the Auto Tool Selection, as I am faster in selecting the right cursor.
