I'm having problems during the Installation of NI Visa on Scientific Linux 6.2
The installation itself runs without an problem, updateNIDrivers also runs without
an error. but when trying to run visaconf it get the following output:
./source/lib/IntelDataCollector.cpp(1013): Intel: CPUID(4) cache results did not all merge with CPUID(2).
./source/lib/IntelDataCollector.cpp(985): CPUID(4) provided cache that CPUID(2) did not. Intel cache parse may need an update.
libnipalu.so failed to initialize
Perhaps you need to run updateNIDrivers
Aborted
when running updateNIDrivers again, it updates the drivers again (allways does that, no matter how often I start it)
How do I update the Intel cache parse? And does anyone know how to solve these problems?

I think it has something to do with "libnipalu.so failed to initialized"
Is there anything in /var/log/syslog that might be interesting to share here?
"cat /var/log/syslog | grep ni" ?

Finally back at work, thank's for you answer!
I can't find the syslog in /var/log/syslog but I uploaded the nisystemreport output
maybe you can find something there ?

Same old problem: NI folks don't know how to properly do DMA on Linux. The driver is conceptionally broken.
