This new FlexRIO adapter module (FAM) from KGC is designed specifically for electric vehicle and power electronics real-time hardware in the loop (HIL) simulation and rapid control prototyping (RCP) and provides 50 MS/s analog and digital I/O. The HKS 9609 provides high precision, high speed simultaneous, mixed signal inputs and outputs. There are 12 16-bit analog inputs (50 MS/s for 6 channels or 25 MS/s for 12 channels), 12 16-bit analog outputs (50 MS/s), 16 digital input channels (50 MS/s), and 16 digital output channels (50 MS/s).
All channels provide simultaneous sampling capabilities for high performance FPGA-based real-time simulations, such as executing electric vehicle motor model data exported from the JMAG Express finite-element-analysis (FEA) tools for ultra-high fidelity, very high speed real-time simulation of electric vehicle power electronics systems.
