myrio 5v digital output

Hi

I want to use DIO to control relay and i use connector c which it can output 5v. However i measure the voltage is 3.3v. How can i set it to output 5v?

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,

The myRIO-1900 and myRIO-1950 have 5V-tolerant DIO; however, they output 3.3V, nominal. There is not a setting that allows the DIO to output at 5V. You can either condition the digital output external to the myRIO to drive 5V (through a FET, for example). If your application output toggle rate allows, you could also potentially use one of the analog output pins to drive 5V. This will have a much slower effective 'switching' rate, but will allow you to drive a 5V output without adding external circuitry.
