Graphic Tee Friday!

Typically people wear a button up shirt, or polo and khaki pants to the office.  Some wear jeans or more casual clothes, and those people usually get more dirty working in the lab on hardware, working with coolant or other dirty jobs.  I realized I have a ton of graphic T-shirts that I only get to wear on Saturday and Sunday.  So I decided to start wearing them on Friday as a way to be more casual.  They are typically nerd and pop culture references and humorous.  I started going around the office talking about Graphic Tee Friday and how people wear graphic T-shirts that are work appropriate.  Each week I’d wear a different T-shirt and whenever someone would ask I would just yell enthusiastically that it is “Graph Tee Friday!”  I started doing this so often other people started repeating it and continuing the trend.  It has been going on for so long, and repeated enough that people believe that it is just the work policy.

Scope Manual

We were deciding which oscilloscope to buy for a project through Digikey. There were a bunch of name brands and several cheap Chinese knockoffs. One engineer went to the product manual of one of the cheap ones, and was looking for documentation.  There was a link at the bottom of the PDF that was something like choomoom.com (just an example not the real site), he went there and it was a page full of ads for porn.  He went back to the manual and found another link that was choomoom.com/cn and it loaded up the Canadian page which looked like a normal tech site with manuals and driver downloads for the scope. He decided to get a scope from a reputable name brand instead.

So she could stand looking at it for only 5 minutes.

It's fine if you have different tastes in movies.  And there are plenty of things to criticize about it.  But if you only watched 5 minutes of it, I think it says more about you than the movie.

I still have all my old band\concert shirts.

I don't think I'll ever can simply throw them away. Maybe my kids will fancy them (if there's vintage hype), although that practically is the same as throwing them away.

We had pretty strict rules:

+ Never where shirts of bands you didn't see live.

+ Never where a shirt of the band you're going to (like a fan boy).

Recently I've been to a few live performances (Ben Caplan - Wikipedia , POM | FacebookMood Bored (youtube.com)) after a slow 20 years. I realized I've been in that venue for 30 years...👴

I have a pile of old (running) race shirts that my wife was going to make into a quilt.  I should bring that up again.

You're not alone.  For St. Patrick's Day, I have formed 2 traditions.  The first being wearing my Flatfoot 56 shirt and listening through all of their albums that I own.  I am doing that today since we are doing the St. Patrick stuff at work today.

The other is watching this hilarious video: St. Patrick's Bad Analogies
