DATA AHEAD releases v2021.8 of XLR8

after more than two years after the last release and several announcements that we are working on a new version it is finally here: v2021.8.0.2 of XLR8.

This is a major release although the list of changes is relatively short. But the underlying .NET assemblies of XLR8 have after many years been updated from release 2.1.0 to the recent version 2.5.4 of NPOI. This fixes many issues that have arisen over the years because of the out-dated version of NPOI that we were using. Especially I like to point out that the issue that XLR8 could not open XLSX files under several language settings of Windows is now history.

XLR8 now requires the installation of the .NET framework 4.0 (instead of NET 2 as before), the use of LabVIEW 2014 or higher and JKI VI package manager 2017 or newer for the installation. The support for LabVIEW 2011-2013 has been dropped.

- change: additional image file options on "Insert image from file.vi". New connector pane to make
this change visible in existing code.
- Bugfix: Insert LVImage also available in LV Base Package
- Bugfix: xlsx File can now be opened for all Windows language settings
