Receiving error -50251 when adding a voltage channel in NI MAX

Solved!
Go to solution

When I try to make a measurement with a SCXI-1125 controlled through a PXI-6259, I get the error -50251.

This happens in Measurement and Automation Explorer, LabVIEW and CVI.

I am almost certain I have a DAQmx conflict, but repairing the system with the National Instruments Software utility did not help.

LabVIEW 8.0.1 is installed on the system, and upgrading to a newer version currently is not an option.

CVI is version 8.5.1.

NI-DAQmx is shown as 8.1 in NI-MAX.

Any hints?

Thanks

I would recommend updating your DAQmx drivers. The most recent version that still supports your version of LabVIEW is DAQmx 8.7.1.

That did the trick.

I had tried that initally, but apparently had a corrupt download.  Some of the required files weren't installed.  So I went back to where I was.

Another download with the NI download tool got me what I needed.

Thanks for the direction.
