Vertical Scroll bar for 1D arrays

When a 1 Dimensional array of any type is showing only a single element, LabVIEW forces a horizontal scrollbar. I couldn't find any documentation or reasoning behind it. It's really annoying and ruins UI design that Vertical is the normal scrolling direction for just about everything else ever and LV messes that up for some seemingly arbitrary reason.

You're right, this does come off more as a complaint rather than constructive idea building. Annoyance is what brought me to post, but fixes/changes are what this post should be about.

However, X. has it right - a single element of any type is the point I am bringing up.

 This makes sense because of it being very short vertically, yes. But when you get to something like this:

It stops making quite as much sense.

My original reasoning for getting peeved at the constraint was something like this:

In terms of UI, the scrollbar is less functional and more visual. For a user, indexes are ugly and don't convey a placement in an array if you don't know its overall size, but a scrollbar does. I feel the bar should still be visually similar to any other UI element that has scrolling which is vertical.

I would agree with you both, it should be entirely up to the programmer, but after you've defined it by showing more than 1 element, then it obviously doesn't make sense to scroll the other direction.

For history:

The post by nzamora above followed a separate IE thread he started about the lack of vertical scrollbar option for single element arrays. After a few comments, I realized that his/her suggestion was a duplicate of a former one (this idea) and "reported" the thread to a moderator with the sole comment: "duplicate". Normally, a moderator would then label the idea as "Duplicate" and add a comment to that effect at the end of the thread.

This time, uncharacteristically, the (new) moderator proceeded to merge the two threads. This resulted in the possible confusion above. I have mentioned this problem to the moderator.

How to Visible Vertical Scrollbar in 1D Array ?

List of steps   

Step 1 : Drag the down Arrow key in 1D Array. 

Step 2 : Please Press Right Click on 1D Array and Press Visible Items .

Step 3 : Tick Vertical Scrollbar from Visible Items.

By that you will get Vertical Scroll Bar.

JYOTIN, please read the comments carefully. People are well aware of how to view the scrollbar with multiple elements shown, the problem comes when only a single element is shown.
