Arduino-labVIEW 2012, disconnection!.

Hello all,

After downloading all the files of the Arduino-labVIEW 2012 interfacing, and running some examples successfully,

and using the COM that I got via Device Manager, the connection sometimes lost suddenly during running on the LabVIEW!,

then I had to reconnect the USB or reinstall new COM for the Arduino board!:

Why does such error occur?, and how can I fix it permanently?.

Best Regards,

Hi !

Only one question and one advice: are you stopping your VI with Stop button? Be careful with this, because when you dont stop it ussing stop button, you let the COM bussy and you cannot use it again.

Engmohsh,

Pcortes is correct.  You need to make sure you call the Arduino close VI at the end to 'release' the COM Port.  If you don't do this, or you click the abort button the COM port may become unusalbe (until you properly close it or remove the device associated with that COM port).

Let us know if that makes sense.

Thanks!
