Thanks for trying that. I believe that this is normal behavior. If I sample with the specifications that you mentioned, I see small steps in the sampling when looking at the sine wave closely.

Try increasing the Samples per Buffer to 10000 on the generation VI and see if you see better results. This should give you a smoother wave because of the increased samples in the generation VI.
