Controlling a Maxon EPOS4 Motor Controller via EtherCAT and LabVIEW

Hello, 

I'm currently working on a Maxon EPOS4 motor controller which is equipped with an add-on card for EtherCAT communication.

At the PC I'm using a USB-Ethernet-Converter for connection to the controller. I established the EtherCAT communication with the Maxon EPOS Suite as well as EtherCAT Studio. 

The idea is now to control the EPOS4 via EtherCAT from LabVIEW, whereas real-time is not needed. To establish an EtherCAT master I'm using the Ackermann Library and it seems that the controller is found without errors. Based on that, I'm currently struggling to implement commands for the EPOS4. Maxon provides a DLL for that controller, which seems to support USB and RS232 connections only. 

Is there any hints or tricks to get this setup running with LabVIEW?

   For a student project, i need to do the same : sendind commands and reading measurements from an EPOS4 with LabVIEW and a CRIO using Ethercat. Did you find the solution ?
