I am trying to transfer LabView 8.5.1 from an old Windows XP machine, which is about to be repurposed, to a Windows 10 laptop. I copied the files over and installed the license manager. When I open the license manager, I receive this message: "Helpasst.dll not found. Reinstall your software." I've gone to this page - https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z0000019Kc7SAE&l=en-US, but the link to the security patch given in the solutions is no longer active. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

What files did you copy over?

If you are saying you copied over LabVIEW program files, then of course that isn't going to work.  You need to INSTALL LabVIEW on the new PC.

I copied over the top-level folders to my C:\ drive. We no longer have the CD with the original installation files. I actually found that updating the license manager to v3.7 resolved the issue.
