HingeJoint Properties Help

Solved!
Go to solution

Does anyone have more details on the HingeJoint properties listed below? The documentation lacks specific detail for each property. I understand the units associated with each property are dependent on the units defined by the environment/model components, etc. I was think of compiling a list of properties and what they mean with respect to the joint.

HingeJoint Properties

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan,

This is the description for each property of the HingeJoint Properties:

Miguel,

Thanks, but if you look at each property description they are very vague. For example: FudgeFactor - Gets or sets the fudge factor of the axis.

What does FudgeFactor mean? How does it effect the Hinge when I change it?

This is the case for each property of the HingeJoint, a more detailed description for each property is what I am looking for.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi,

Actually I had the opportunity to discuss this topic with one of the product specialist for the LabVIEW Robotics tool kit and he told me that this is all the documentation that we've got for the HingeJoint properties.

I already created a CAR (Correction Action Request) to add this information on the next release for this tool kit.

This is the number of the CAR: 349311

We apologize for this inconvinience.

Best regards,

Hi Dan,

You can refer to the ODE Manual at www.ode-wiki.org/wiki for detailed information about ODE-specific concepts and terms.

Hope this helps.

This property node exposes the hinge joint in ODE. Here is the detailed documentation:
