How can I determine the number of decimal places?

Maybe I'm missing something, but why don't you just use a Format into String, with the format string "%#f"? The '#' removes trailing zeros. There's a lot of complex code in this thread that seems to be trying to do the exact same thing.

I can say one thing. In asking this question, I have learned a great deal. Each of you has taught me something new, and that has been "priceless". My database system is now running effeciently and exactly how I want it to. I think this is the first time I have used the message board, and it won't be the last!

The number of "decimal digits" don't fit to the actual number…
