How do I stream in a message signal for amplitude modulation using the PXI-5660 (RFSG)?

I was looking at the MT RFSG Generate AM example and wanted to know how to be able to replace the Basic Function Generator in the block diagram with my own message signal.

Does the example require the entire mesage signal be available before transmission?  Or am I able to stream in a message signal to modulate the carrier in real-time?

Hi Raine,

You can use our Analog Waveform Editor or Digital Waveform Editor to create a message signal and feed this waveform into the Modulate AM vi.  See this KB or search on ni.com for more information on HWS files and the AWE and DWE.  Also, if you have a waveform from an analog input signal or any other waveform, you can feed this signal into the Modulate AM vi as well.  You will need to know the I/Q parameters of the data.
