How do I type a degrees symbol in a text string?

I want to type oC with the degrees symbol being at a superscript position. Is this possible without creating an entire new text box?

I have no idea how to type one, but you can copy one from the character map. When you convert the string display to \codes it is \B0.

But really I have no idea how to type one.

Sorry,

Under windows, switch the text indicator to '\'-codes and enter "\B0" This should give you the degree symbol for most fonts (Arial, Courier, Tahoma, Times, etc.).

Under windows:

If you know the ASCII number of the symbol you want to use, just hold down the ALT-key and type in the ASCII-value using the numeric keypad of your keyboard.

In your case: ALT+248 (this is the ASCII-value on mine computer)

This works in all windows programs!

Hello Kari,

on a german keyboard you will find it left from the 1 🙂
Otherwise copy and paste: "°C"
