Issue with Check if file or folder exists.vi

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello everyone,

I have problems with the following VI, "Check if file or folder exists.vi":

This VI is broken because it depends (possibly indirectly) upon a broken file. Fix the errors in the other file. Other errors listed here indicate how the other file is breaking this VI.

Broken dependency: Check if File or Folder Exists.vi

This is the VI from the inside, a SubVI is missing "Get exported file list.vi"

The missing VI is part of LabVIEW. Maybe you need to repair/reinstall.

Hi IPach,

on which target do you want to run that VI and what have you done to enforce that error?

Which LabVIEW version exactly?

CheckIfFileFolderExists and its subVIs are part of the LabVIEW installation - and you should NEVER change any VI within the VI.lib provided by NI!

Here is the help for that missing subVI:

See if you can find it in your LabVIEW installation!

Best regards,
GerdW

I've checked the path and the file exists, so I tried to use the mentioned function in a new VI and it works. What a mystery....

I've had similar problems with exported code and relinking issues (sometimes it's easy to mess up). Repair LV installation or relink/replace the missing VI.
