I am slowly migrating to non-ms-os machines.  I agree that Linux offers more control over... well... everything..  but it is not for the novice..  although an excellent learning experience.  🙂

Can you post the code?  Use the browse button below "Attachment" under the message edit box to browse and select the vi.

I found the problem. I had a wrong definition of probe at  C:\Documents and Settings\Gabi\My Documents\LabVIEW Data\Probes

I delete all the probes in the above path and the problem was solved.

Glad to read you found the problem and thanks for sharing!  🙂

It's quite interesting that these behaviors could be anything..  That's why it's best not to re-install LV right away.  Finding the root cause may help avoid headaches in the future.  I must admit that I would not have thought of custom probes..  🙂
