#bookmarks in Help path to HTML file.

Is it possible to include a URL fragment indicator (#bookmark) in the Help path of the VI Properties >> Documentation dialogue box?

I would like to keep the documentation for several LabVIEW VIs in a single HTML document and link to the appropriate place in the file using the URL fragment indicator (e.g. "./Docs/MyLVproj.html#thisVI"). But, this doesn't appear to work.

I know I could do this with compuiled helpfiles (.chm), but I'm trying to avoid having to recompile my helpfiles while developing new software.

Many thanks

Hey Conway,

I've had a bit of a look at this, and short of compiling to the helpfiles it doesn't look like there is a way to do it.  However as html help files are fairly common, and it seems like a fairly simple thing to do, I would suggest you submit a product suggestion.  You can do this here: http://digital.ni.com/applications/psc.nsf/default?OpenForm

I've just added one myself, but it may hold more weight from a customer.

Sorry I couldn't help more.

Kind regards,

Hi Dominic,

Thanks for your suggestion.

BTW: my workaround is to create a redirecting html file using client-pull META directive, which works but is a bit messy.
