random build errors that go away if I just keep building

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm having a problem where my program will build fine but only after I try to build it around 4 times with build errors.  One example of an error I get commonly is :

LabVIEW:  Generic file I/O error.   Anyone have a similar issue where it will build eventually but takes a few trys?

Thanks

I think it has to do with LabVIEW and the Windows file indexing service battling over ownership of files. Try putting your build directory in a non-indexed directory.

I believe my problem is fixed.  I was attempting to build into a dropbox folder which seemed to be causing issues for some reason, building to the desktop seemed to work.
