I've re-installed LabVIEW 2012 after a computer melt down but have somehow managed to have it ask me every time I launch it to select a user from a drop down in a dialog box.
Does anyone know how I can remove this and have it just start like it used to.
Many thanks
David

It's not on by default but here is a post on Lava where someone has similar issues.

What was basically suggested was to check Tools > Options > Security > Login option > Show the login prompt at LabVIEW Startup time, or delete the LabVIEW.ini and start with a blank one.

Thank you Hooovahh,
That has been really helpful
There are apparently 2 types of logins.
The Tools Options Security setting relates to the following
But this isn't the dialog I was having problems with. It was in fact this one below:
Renaming the LabVIEW.ini and then restarting does actually work. I then tried comparing the 2 files to find what option was switching it on but after deleting individual and combinations of things that sounded possible such as recentUsername= I still couldn't get rid of the dialog.
My solution was as per your 2nd suggestion to remove LabVIEW.ini and let LabVIEW recreate it then manually put back in my preferences.
All working now.
Thankyou.
