Rif.: LIN bus from CVI

Hello all,

i'd like to get started on using Local Interconnect Network (LIN) from CVI. In particular with a NI USB-8476S card. I could not find any sample code offhand, and in MAX it does not appear I can simulate this card (or similar).

Any feelers on how to get started ? I guess I'll go ask questions in the Automotive forum as well !

Hi,

first of all, USB-8476S card is next to its end-of-life.

USB-8506 is recommended as a device.

Then you need to installl NI-XNET driver (you should find this into the DVD shipped with the device).

Afterward you can see LIN under MAX and you can have some tools too.

Thanks, I didn't know it was part of XNet. I managed to run some of the LIN examples for CVI.
