For NI-KAL 2.3.1 and OpenSUSE 12.3 irwan posted a patch at https://decibel.ni.com/content/message/51362
The patch does not apply cleanly, since the context has changed in the meantime.
I have re-based the patch onto stock NI-KAL 2.3.1; the file is attached.
