Thanks for all your help Joe! I think I can make it work. I do have a few more DAC quirks I've discovered, but I'll post those over on the Dynamic-Signal-Generation board.
I'm still a little disappointed by the level of support NI gives to Linux users. Perhaps I got spoiled by working with ICS boards in the past - at least 8 years ago they had fantastic Linux support. In fact, were it not for your help, I probably would have recommended to my management to return this NI board and purchase an ICS board (which would have been about $10K more expensive and been way overkill for what we needed!).
