[Ubuntu 10.04 LTS] No menu shortcut after system reboot

Dear Linux-Users,

I have installed LabVIEW on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and the install succeeded. After a reboot of the system, the LabVIEW menu shortcut no longer appeared and the Service Locator no longer worked. Both LabVIEW and the service locator work fine if started from the command line. Has anyone seen similar behavior?
