INTERFACING JAI CV-A1 CCD WITH NI1409 CARD

We have used the file to interface CV-A1 CCD with NI1409 using IMAQ3.1. We are using the same file and the result is same. We do not know how to proceed further to interface this CCD with NI1409.  All the options are tried and hope with the support of NI,  we can able to interface for our applications.

We are now able to interface Jai CV-A1 with NI1409 with the support of NI. But we are not able to use the full size of the CCD.

We not able to grab full frame. According to the manual of the camera we should get
1380/1035 pixels. Instead we are getting 640/480 pixels. In the attachment I am
sending  a snap of MAX for your perusal. Looking for your reply.
Please let us know what parameters we have to set to use full pixel format of the CCD.
We tried to change the pixel 640/480 to 1380/1035 but this menu is not accepting and it remains as 640/480 pixel
Kindly advise.

First, make sure that you have selected the JAI-CV-A1 camera file in MAX (as shown in the attached picture). If you have this, then all you have to do is set up the Acquisition Tab so that the Height and Width have the resolution you would like.  If this is not working, please download the newest version of the IMAQ driver(linked below) and the newest version of the camera file (also linked below)

Hello

We have selected the JAI-CV-A1 camera file in MAX (as shown in the attached picture). Then we have set up the Acquisition Tab so as to make Height and Width 1376/1035.  But still it is not working, even after downloading the newest version of the IMAQ driver and the newest version of the camera file. More importantly, whenever I am launching the downloaded camera file through MAX, it is becoming 640 / 480  width and height, though it is 1376/1035 in the downloaded camera file. Please let us know what is the problem and how to solve it.

What happens when you change the values to 1376 by 1035 as shown in the image above and you click on the "Save" button at the top.  Do the height and width values revert back to the 640 by 480?  Can you do a snap after saving?

Hello

I have successfully changed the height and width values to 1376 by 1035 and I got it by replacing the camera file before launching the MAX. But if I  use the old camera file after changing to new height and width values of 1376 by 1035,  after launching  the MAX, it reverts back to the 640 by 480. Is there any way to save the camera file permanently? Anyway thanks for the support from NI.

Once you have changed the values you only need to click the "Save" button.  This updates the camera settings and use those settings by default.
