Do I have to buy Measurement Studio and NI IMAQ separately or is NI-Imaq included in Measurement studio?

Currently I am working on a project which needs to acquire data and show images on the PC. We already have a PCI 6120 card for data acquisition. Previously we had a camera from Hauppauge (878 board) but it's activex controls are not supported in .NET. I am using the evaluaution copy of Measurement studio for programming with VB.NET(2008). I intend to buy a copy of teh same soon. I see that NI Imaq controls are already there (but they din't work for the Hauppauge board). Probably I will have to buy a new camera (i am thinking on some Firewire camera) and the board. My question is if NI Imaq controls will work for the same and if yes, then do I have to buy a sepaprate copy of NI Imaq or will measurement studio serve me the purpose?

Hi Vjuno,

Thank you for your interest in Measurement Studio and NI-IMAQ. Measurement Studio and NI-Vision are separate software packages. If you are just planning to acquire, save and display images from an IEEE camera then our NI Vision Acquisition software can be found on our website (https://www.ni.com/en-us/shop/product/vision-acquisition-software.html). If you are want to setup a system for image analysis then you can purchase the NI Vision Development Module, this includes NI Vision Acquisition (http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/2881).
