After I download/deploy a VI application, how to make the application run on the RIO without PC running Labview?
I am creating an embedded application.
Thanks

Hello Greg,
I have using a PXI chassis recently and whilst it is not the Evaluation kit I'm sure the process is similar if not the same.
1) Create a new application on the remote target and Build it.
2) Once it is built right click on the build file in the project window and select 'Run as Startup'. Your application will be deployed and you will be asked if you want to reboot your target. Select Yes, wait for it to reboot and you should now have a running application on your target that no longer requries LabVIEW. It will also automatically run every time you power cycle it.
A word of warning though. If you are using shared variables you will need to ensure that the are deployed correctly. This is done in the Build file and you will need to search NI for the answer. However, if you still have a problem ask again.

Thanks Malcom, you're correct that it will be the same across all real-time targets.
And for future reference, G373, here's the LabVIEW Help document detailing the process Malcom explained: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370622M-01/lvrthowto/rt_building_rt_app/
