Designing test systems for longevity can be quite challenging when considering the ever evolving PC technology market. While many application can take advantage of the last software, processor, and OS innovations, many applications and industries require stable test platforms over several generations of PC technology. Changing test equipment for long life products can introduce issues of re-validation and migration costs, which can be costly for industries such as medical and aerospace.
