NI PXIe-1075 removing handle

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

I have an NI PXIe-1075 chassis that needs to go into a rack temporarily.  There is a handle that you can use to pick the thing up and carry it on the side.  I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to remove that handle without having to take the whole chassis apart (something I'd like to avoid since the hardware isn't mine).  I've googled this and found sparse information about the topic...

Thoughts?  Advice?  Insights?

Hi RS_233-

The handle can be removed without taking the chassis apart.  There are two phillips head bolts that bolt into the side of the chassis that anchor each side of the handle.  They can be accessed by removing the black access cap that covers the handle anchor.  Use a screwdriver to pry the black cap off, taking care not to scratch the chassis.  See the image below for a visual depiction of what I am talking about.

After you remove the black access cap, you can unscrew and remove the anchor.  I hope this helps!
