Hello,
I am attempting to perform a shunt cal with on the 9237. I have built a simple FPGA vi that appears to be functioning - I can change sample rate and perform an offset cal. However, when I activate the shunt cal switch, the output does not not change. I noticed in the wiring schematic SC pinouts. Am I to connect these in some manner? (No explanation is given as to what they mean as far as I can see). My understanding was that the 100k Ohm resistor is internal to the board and that I need not connect anything externally.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

My understanding is that depending on which version of the 9237 you have ( DSUB or RJ-50 ) you will need to connect one or both of the SC's directly to the bridge. This is because one of the reasons to perform a shunt cal is to compensate for wire lenghts. Look at figure 3 in the docs for the 9237

Hi,
Wayne.C is correct regarding the SC connecting to your sensor. Below I have provided a link to the NI 9237 specification document, reference page 10 (figure 3).

Guys,
Thanks for the info. I've tried it and am successful in controlling the shunt. Perhaps a paragraph in the Operating Instructions that discusses proper connection would clarify better....
Thanks again!
