Hi folks,
I have a SBRio- board and want to drive a LCD- display over the COM- port.
Is it possible?
Has someone a vi for this.
I know, that this is possible with the FPGA- lines, but isn't the COM- port the normal/better way?
Greetings, Ruedi

If you look on the LabVIEW Tools Network and search for LCD a couple of possibilities appear. http://www.ni.com/np/app/main/p/bot/no/ap/lvtn/lang/en/pg/1/sn/n25:software,n21:28/sb/default/?q=LCD
The Reach toolkit specifically says it interfaces via RS-232. While this may not be your specific device it might be worth a look.
Its worth noting that I would have loved to have this a few years back on a project using a Reach touchscreen.
There is also an example here http://www.ni.com/example/31079/en/.
Hopefully these will help.
