What happens if my computer can't process a timed loop fast enough?

Solved!
Go to solution

If I have a timed loop set up, but the tasks within the loop require more processing than my computer is able to do before the next iteration, what happens?  Does it give me an error or do I miss loops?  Ultimately I need to know how will I know if the problem is occuring.

Please refer to the Setting the Mode of a Timed Loop section in the following document.

http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361F-01/lvconcepts/configuring_the_labview_timed_loop/

The Left Data Node section of the following document describes the information you can access about the previous iteration of the Timed Loop.
