What is your suggest if my host computer controls various real-time system in the same time?

I plan to build a control system that my host computer controls many of real-time controllers. 

I only have experience on 1-by-1 host and targer real-time system.

All I can think is that to create a network variable from each target, and run VI on host to load it.

Shared variables will be a good way to interact with your target.  You can find an example from Example Finder >> Toolkits and Modules >> Real-Time >> RT Network Communication

Yes, you are correct regarding having the shared variables being shared between multiple cRIOs.

I'm not quite clear on what you mean by ActiveX control.  Can you clarify what you mean, and what you intend to do?
