RFGS waveform data files

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello:

I have develop a system that uses NI-PXIe box with PXI-5652 and PXIe-5450 generator. There are a set of data files that should supplied to 5450 (the ones you write to niRFSG_WriteArbWaveformComplexI16). However, the exact information on what exactly is in these files is gone.

Is there any tool that can be used to figure out that exact waveform that is stored in these data files (other than loading them and using oscilloscope)? ALso, is there a tool that can be used to generate the data files that NI-RFGEN accepts?

Thank you,

-Ilya.

Hello Ilya,

I don't think I understood you correctly.

The niRFSG_WriteArbWaveformComplexI16 will take complex inputs eg x+yj at the data input and writes that out to the I and Q channels of the 5450. By data file do you mean that you want to parse through a file and get your complex values that you will write into the RFSG?

Thanks

Hi Christian:

Well, I was wondering if there a tool to look into this data.  It appears that all I have to write it myself.

Thanks anyway.

-Ilya.
