Basic Function
The responsibility of the LabView Programmer will be to program complete applications for custom fuel cell test stands including but not limited to; system automation, data acquisition, process control, safety, security, maintainability, operability, GUI design and report generation.

Development involves both new code generation and code conversion from legacy programming to a LabView environment. Also you will participate in system design including selection of sensors and data acquisition hardware.

Primary Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the LabView Programmer are the following:
•Obtains initial design information from engineering
•Program Automated Test Regimes based on Specific Test procedures and Qualification Plans
•Coordinates with external suppliers for hardware/software procurement to support test stand requirements
•Responsible for the creation, revision and maintenance of various LabView based software applications developed internally or procured from a third party
•Creation and maintenance of LabView applications written to run on National Instruments RT controllers using a web interface and the shared variable engine
•Creation of a database that will be used to analyze the test stand data
•Creation of a web based interface to the test stand database for use by test engineers in analyzing data.

Qualifications:
•A BSEE, BSME or BSCS degree preferred
•3+ years solid experience developing, testing and debugging software programs. Minimum of 2 years using LabView. (Should be up to date with latest version of LabView currently 8.0 or higher).
•Able to construct Macros, Recipes, and scripts for use with LabView in performing automatic test functions.
•Familiarity with applications that utilize National Instrument’s Citadel database is preferable
•Experience using National Instruments Citadel database is preferable
•Familiarity of technical concepts relating to Instrumentation, Data Acquisition, Signal Conditioning & Sensors.
•Experience with object oriented programming methodologies
•Hands-on experience with application development using Microsoft Visual Studio using the following: VB.NET, C#, C++ or ASP.NET
•Experience using National Instruments RT controller and shared variable engine
•Experience with web based application programming such as HTML and ASP.NET
•Experience with relational database design a major plus.
•Experience with designing and writing web based database applications is highly desirable.
•Experience with ActiveX and COM objects a plus.
