Excel to graph

anyone as example on how i can transfer data from excell to graph labview. currently ive tried to design one but it seems my graph does not reflect the values in the excell.

Do help me in my design im new in labview.

Hi izz,

your approach  works for "csv" files, but not for Excel files. In order to directly read from Excel files, you would need our XLR8 tool, which you can download from the LabVIEW Tools Network. There you will find examples on how to read data from the sheets. Version 2.0 (soon to be released) will also work with xlsx files.

Other alternatives:

- commercial: NI Report Generation Toolkit (requires MS Excel installed)

- free: use the MS Excel (required) ActiveX interface to transfer data and access functionality. Find more info here: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/3520/en/ - they used to ship very basic MS Excel / ActiveX examples with LabVIEW, I'm not sure if they still do.
