HSDIO DAQmx Examples

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello all,

Are there any examples of the HSDIO card being programmed with the DAQmx library? I want to be able to use DAQmx and HSDIO libraries and cannot find any DAQmx examples for me to leverage against.

Thanks for any help and examples!

Hi Minesh,

The 6542 cannot use the DAQmx API.  We don't currently have any devices that can use both the DAQmx and the HSDIO API; it's an either/or relationship.  We do have a few modules that we consider High Speed Digital I/O that use DAQmx instead of HSDIO.

To see what hardware is supported by DAQmx, go to the Start Menu >> All Programs >> National Instruments >> NI-DAQ >> NI-DAQmx Help.

To see what hardware is supported by niHSDIO, go to Start Menu >> All Programs >> National Instruments >> NI-HSDIO >> Documentation >> NI Digital Waveform Generator-Analyzer Help.

Thanks Josh,

I make a mistake in my HSDIO number, we have the PXI-6541. Does the same limitation hold true?

Thanks

Hi Minesh,

This holds true with the 6541 as well.  It is compatible with the HSDIO API, but not DAQmx.
