Dual Y-axis scales - how to get right-hand display of second scale

Solved!
Go to solution

I am trying to plot density versus velocity and pressure versus velocity on the same XY graph.  The Plot Multi-XY seemed the ideal way to do it, until I discovered there is no way to display a scale for the second Y-axis (the data cannot reasonably be displayed to the same scale).  I've looked at postings and examples but except for a reference to a semi-mythical dual Y-axis controls library in version 5.0 unreleased, I'm not finding anything.  This seems like a fundamental graphing feature, so I hope someone can tell me where it currently resides.  I am using the LabVIEW 2013 Development package.

Any ideas to suggest?

I found the answer on this help page.

http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361J-01/lvhowto/configuring_the_x_and_y_sc/

I had to use a combination of Swap Sides and Duplicate Scale, then fiddling with scale values.

There doesn't seem to be any way to make this work with Plot Multi-XY.vi but the standard XY graph function should work for me.

I consider this question answered.
