Hello,
Can anyone recommend a PDF Toolkit for LabView, preferably 2015? Must be possible to get letter printouts in red color.
br,
Paal

Hello paalbrok,
I recommend you to use the one present in labVIEW Tool Network. CUSTOM pdf generator.
He's currently updated.

Hi Paal,
Check out this previously posted discussion regarding reading text from PDF files.

I use the Exaprom one at the moment,
https://forums.ni.com/t5/Example-Code/PDF-Report-with-ItextSharp/ta-p/3500858
I haven't used v2.0 yet, but v1 was fairly well developed and supported most of what you would need. All code is open and available for you to modify as you see fit. I've run into a couple of limitations, but was able to modify code myself to do what I wanted, and Jean-Marc has some additional additions in the forums for specific user requests. I imagine a lot of that is rolled into v2. Bets of all, it's a community gift, and there is no fee for it, unlike the others. There is some learning curve with it, but out of the two I used, I found it the more enjoyable to use.
I have used the Carya Automatisering toolkit before as well:
https://www.ni.com/en/support/downloads/tools-network/download.pdf-toolkit-for-labview.html
The version I used was back in 2008, maybe v 1.1 I think. It is closed source, so if they don't support it, or you don't like the way they do it, you are out of luck. I found it frustrating to use because it was very basic at the time. For example, I needed to create a very long table of data, and wanted to change the color of every other row to make it easier to read. It wasn't supported. I had to draw every cell individually to get what I wanted. The Exaprom does this out of the box, BTW. They also charge for the toolkit and want runtime license fees as well.
I have not used the one metnioned above, so can make no comment on it.

I should mention, too, that it appears that the others have free trial versions, so you can try to do the evaluation yourself.
