Hi everyone,
I'm brand new to LabView working on it in uni and dont think I have all components installed i need ie NI-DAQmx , before I hand my computer over to IT and lose it for 3 days, can I just check that if I am unable to find DAQ assistant on Functions express input, and functions search that I am missing something? I have version 10.0.1. If I am missing something do you know what components I need to have installed? As i dont have administrator rights to do it myself, and IT will not know.
Many thanks,
Thom

You would use Measurement and Automation explorer to borowse the NI components installed (MAX>>Software.)

So if NI-DAQ is no where in that tree, I need it?

If DAQmx is not in MAX, then you probably need to install it. For LabVIEW 2010, you can use the newest version of the driver, DAQmx 9.4. I will warn you that the download is rather large (~1.5 GB), but should get you the DAQ Assistant and other VIs.
