modifications to LabVIEW FPGA vi is not responding

I am planning to use NI USRP 2954 as an FMCW radar for which I am trying to modify the LabVIEW FPGA code provided with the example project “USRP Simple Streaming”. I have made modifications to LabVIEW FPGA vi, Streaming Xcvr (FPGA).vi and built the bit file. However, when I run the host vi, “Tx and Rx Streaming (Host).vi”, I can’t see any effect of the modification which I made in the FPGA code. I have even tried connecting zero to the write FIFO at in the receiver channel and still I am getting the same signal I transmitted, the example I used is for simple streaming. So my question is, do I need to write my newly generated bit file separately to the USRP using the NI-USRP configuration Utility ?
