We have tried with lMAQ 2.5 and IMAQ 3.1. versions. We found the same error as shown in the following jpg file. We tried the procedure going through
Aquisition Error:
Copy the JAI CV-A1(1409).icd file into the <NI-IMAQ>\Data folder. Go to ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/imaq/camera_support/camera_files/analog/jai/ to download this camera configuration file.
2. Launch Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX).
3. Expand the Devices and Interfaces branch of the tree view.
4. Expand the IMAQ PCI/PXI-1409 branch of the tree view.
5. Right-click Channel 0: RS-170, and select Camera>>JAI>>JAI CV-A1.
6. Click Save.
But still we could not able to interface the Jai CV-A1.
Now the camera is connected and it is now green.
Kindly provide us further support

Hello,
I saw in the image that you posted for the error that was occurring in MAX, that you were still using the IMAQ 2.5. Update the driver version back to 3.1. Then try downloading the updated version of the JAI camera file from the FTP site at:
ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/imaq/camera_support/camera_files/analog/jai/
Be sure to overwrite the existing version of the file. Once you have done this, re-open the JAI configuration utility and configure it as you did before. After you have established the serial connection to the camera, be sure to synchronize the camera every time you modify the values within the utility. The synchronization process is how data is passed from the utility to the camera. Also, try reducing the size of the image that you are attempting to capture. Try acquiring an image that is roughly 640x480. Does the problem persist?

Hello,
I have attached the camera file for the JAI CV A1 that will work with the PCI 1409. Try downloading this and overwriting the camera file that exists in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-IMAQ\Data. Then open MAX and be sure that the camera file selected is still the one for the JAI CV A1. Then try opening and running the JAI configuration utility and running the acquisition in MAX.
